Privacy, Technical Limitations, and Troubleshooting

Creativity Land performs its principal visual-processing operations inside the browser. This guide describes the application's processing model, compatibility considerations, and common troubleshooting steps.

Client-Side Processing

The supplied implementation uses browser APIs and JavaScript modules to perform image and color operations.

OperationTechnology
Image editingCanvas API and Canvas filters
Background removalJavaScript pixel analysis
Color conversionJavaScript color calculations
Palette extractionPixel histogram and clustering
Image analysisCanvas pixel measurements
Image conversionCanvas encoding
FramesCanvas compositing
ZoomCSS background rendering
Gradient generationCSS gradients
File loadingFileReader and browser image decoding

The documented image-processing functions do not require a separate remote image-processing API.

Privacy

Creativity Land's interface describes its processing as client-side and states that it does not save or sell user data.

The supplied modules process selected images locally in browser memory.

However, this source-code review does not establish the complete behavior of the deployed hosting environment, analytics, third-party resources, or server logs.

For highly confidential material, verify the complete deployed application's privacy practices.

File Uploads

The application's file selectors allow users to choose local image files.

Images are read through browser APIs and passed into image-processing functions.

Selecting a local file for processing does not inherently mean that the file is uploaded to a remote server.

Output Files

Depending on the selected tool, Creativity Land can create:

OutputFormat
Studio imagePNG
Framed compositionPNG
Converted imagePNG, JPEG, WebP, or raster-wrapped SVG
Palette valuesText, clipboard formats, or structured code
GradientCSS declaration

Browser Compatibility

The application requires JavaScript and a browser capable of decoding and drawing images.

Some functionality may vary according to browser support for:

  • Canvas image encoding
  • WebP
  • Clipboard API
  • EyeDropper API
  • Image file formats
  • CSS gradient features
  • Modern JavaScript modules

Troubleshooting

An Image Will Not Load

Ensure the selected file is a supported image format and can be decoded by your browser.

Try another image to determine whether the problem is file-specific.

Studio Shows No Preview

Confirm that the file has finished loading.

If the editor is still empty, select the image again.

Background Removal Produces Poor Results

The algorithm depends on color differences between the subject and background.

Try an image with more distinct background colors.

Adjust feathering for edge appearance, or use Color → α for a known solid background.

Background Removal Reverts Other Edits

The automatic remover uses the originally uploaded image.

If previous transformations disappear, perform background removal before other pixel-level editing operations.

Transparency Disappears After Conversion

Check the output format.

JPEG does not support alpha transparency.

Use PNG to retain transparent pixels.

SVG Does Not Scale Like a Vector Illustration

Creativity Land's SVG conversion wraps raster image data.

It does not trace image pixels into vector paths.

Palette Extraction Produces Different Results

The extraction process uses weighted clustering with randomized initialization.

Small differences between repeated extractions are possible.

Copy Does Not Work

Clipboard operations may be blocked by browser permissions or security restrictions.

For supported tools, use the Download option instead.

Frame Is Not Visible

The Frames tool starts with opacity set to 0.

Increase opacity to reveal the overlay.

Image Looks Blurry

Potential causes include:

  • A low-resolution source image
  • High zoom magnification
  • Resampling during image editing
  • Canvas output dimensions smaller than the original

Use higher-resolution source images where practical.

Color Lab Eyedropper Does Not Open

The EyeDropper API is not universally supported.

Try a compatible browser or enter the HEX color manually.

Image Conversion Fails

Check whether the selected format is supported by the browser.

Try PNG as a fallback.

Known Technical Considerations

Studio Filter Presets

The Grayscale, Sepia, Invert, and Sharpen buttons alter adjustment values.

They should not be interpreted as full independent implementations of all similarly named image-processing algorithms.

Frame Output Resolution

The Frames compositor uses a preview-sized canvas, so exported images may not retain the source photo's original resolution.

Image Analysis Heuristics

The Analyze tool's Professional, Possibly Professional, and Colorful/Organic labels are derived from simple entropy and color-count thresholds.

They are not validated measures of artistic quality.

Browser Memory

Large images require significant browser memory for pixel arrays, Canvas buffers, and image transformations.

Very large inputs may slow the application or exceed browser resource limits.

Color Profile Preservation

Canvas processing does not guarantee preservation of every source image's original metadata or color profile.

Service Worker and Offline Use

The supplied sw.js contains a cache manifest for application resources.

However, some paths in that manifest differ from the uploaded project's current structure.

Offline availability should therefore not be assumed until service worker installation and caching have been verified against the deployed files.

Recommended Practices

  1. Preserve original image files.
  2. Check output format before downloading.
  3. Use PNG for transparency.
  4. Verify image resolution after conversion.
  5. Review color contrast before using generated palettes for text.
  6. Test high-resolution work on representative images.
  7. Avoid relying on automated image heuristics as definitive quality assessments.

Support and Feedback

When reporting a problem, provide:

  • The affected tool
  • Browser and operating system
  • Image format
  • Approximate image dimensions
  • Steps needed to reproduce the issue
  • Any displayed error message

Do not include confidential images or personal information unless you intend to share them.
