Ad Content, Images, and Branding

OK Ads provides controls for advertisement messaging, destination links, images, backgrounds, and brand identity. These settings determine what visitors see and where the advertisement directs them.

Fallbacks are used by the JavaScript generator when applicable fields are empty.

Company Name

Enter the brand or organization to advertise.

Example:

QVLX Labs

The company name is rendered as the advertisement's title.

The title color and font size can be customized separately.

Destination URL

Enter an HTTP or HTTPS website address.

Example:

https://example.com/products

OK Ads creates a clickable overlay that opens the destination in a new tab.

URL Handling

The generator accepts HTTP and HTTPS destinations.

URLs using unsupported schemes such as javascript: are rejected by the URL sanitization function.

Relative URLs may be resolved using the generator's configured base URL, so complete absolute URLs are recommended.

Recommended Format

https://example.com

Include the protocol explicitly.

Ad Text

The Ad Text field contains the advertisement's main slogan.

Example:

Turn your ideas into reality.

Keep the message concise enough to fit the selected advertisement dimensions.

The slogan uses its own configurable color and font size.

Ad Terms

The Ad Terms field adds smaller supplemental text.

Examples:

Terms and conditions apply.
Available while supplies last.
Offer ends December 31.

The generated fine print uses a smaller italic style.

Terms Font Color

Available preset choices include:

  • Black
  • Dark Gray
  • Medium Gray
  • Light Gray
  • White
  • Red
  • Blue
  • Green
  • Orange
  • Purple

Choose a color that remains readable against the advertisement background.

Call to Action

The Call to Action field controls the visible action wording.

Examples:

Explore
Learn More
Visit Website
Discover
Shop Now

The call to action is styled as a prominent visual element.

The advertisement's click overlay handles opening the configured destination.

Logo Images

OK Ads supports two methods of supplying a logo.

Method A — Logo URL

Enter a publicly accessible image URL in Logo URL.

Example:

https://example.com/logo.png

Method B — Upload Logo

Select an image using Upload Logo.

The browser reads the image using FileReader and converts it into a data URL.

The resulting image data becomes part of the generated advertisement.

If both an uploaded logo and a Logo URL are provided, the uploaded image takes precedence.

SourcePriority
Uploaded logoFirst
Logo URLSecond
No imageLogo omitted

Image Size

Use Image Size (% of container) to control the rendered logo width.

The HTML input begins with:

30

This represents 30% in the generated image styling.

Background Images

Background images can also be supplied through a URL or upload.

Background URL

Enter an image URL:

https://example.com/background.jpg

Upload Background

Select a local image file using the background upload field.

The generator converts it into a data URL.

An uploaded background takes precedence over a URL-supplied background.

Background Modes

ConfigurationResult
No background imageGradient from box color toward white
Background image onlyImage fills the background
Background image + Blend BGImage combined with a translucent gradient

Blend BG

Enable Blend BG to combine the selected image with a translucent gradient.

This can improve text readability over detailed images.

Image Sizing

Background images use CSS equivalent to:

background-size: cover;
background-position: center;
background-repeat: no-repeat;

This causes the image to fill the advertisement area while preserving its aspect ratio.

Portions of the image may be cropped.

Uploaded Image Size

Uploaded images are embedded directly into the generated source.

This provides a self-contained representation of the image but increases source-code size.

The upload controls are labeled Code Bloat in the interface to highlight this tradeoff.

Recommendation

For large or frequently updated images, use a hosted image URL.

For portability without an external image dependency, use an uploaded image.

Text Safety

The generator escapes special HTML characters in its text fields, including characters with special meaning in HTML.

This helps prevent supplied brand names, slogans, and fine print from being interpreted as raw HTML markup.

This does not constitute a complete security assessment of the generated advertisement code.

Best Practices

  1. Use concise brand messaging.
  2. Include a valid HTTPS destination.
  3. Ensure logos remain readable at small dimensions.
  4. Test backgrounds with the intended text colors.
  5. Keep fine print visible.
  6. Avoid unnecessarily large embedded images.
  7. Preview the advertisement at its actual intended dimensions.

Important: Using externally hosted images may cause a visitor's browser to request those images from the hosting service. Choose image hosts consistent with your privacy requirements.
